Today’s Forays in Facebook Philosophy – 2018-11-19

I thought I had posted yesterday about my engagement with Frank, in which I pointed out how he started out in a post on a path of Truth, but veered off in fallacious thinking with included, in my analysis, the fallacy of composition.

This evening, I responded to his reply, which included indication of reasoning debilitated by the fallacy of appeal to consequence.

I also gave my analysis of the spiritual perspective of William Ernest Henley, author of the poem called Invictus, from indications in that poem, in response to a query.

I also gave an answer to a speculation by a fellow correspondent with Frank, that it was not possible, due to the Second Law of Thermodynamics.

I also refuted a terrible estimate of the probability of having an exact duplicate on some other planet, by this new correspondent.
