Surfing the Learning Curve – 2018-9-22

I’ve been getting a few visitors each day for the last few days, since I posted on Facebook an analysis of Surah Al-Baqarah having indication of antipathy and vengeance from Muhammad against those not believing his claim to be a prophet. However, I’ve wondered why nobody has registered, to leave comments. This morning, I figured out why: I had not activated the WordPress plug-in to enable that.

My apologies for anyone who was frustrated with my oversight. ๐Ÿ™

In other news, today shall be the thirteenth straight day of learning Arabic, using Mango Languages for Libraries. If you’d like to learn a foreign language, and you have a library card, check to see if your library system has a subscription.

  1. ู†ุนู… ุจูˆู„ุงู†, You’re learning Arabic so you can analyze the Quran? I saw your debate on Facebook and that guy kept insisting that you need to know Arabic in order to interpret the Quran

    1. > Youโ€™re learning Arabic so you can analyze the Quran?

That is a secondary goal. My primary motivation is to foster better, clearer communication with speakers of Arabic. I also want to be able to read those signs some hold up in videos ๐Ÿ˜‰ .

    1. I thought it better to start with Modern Standard Arabic (MSA). Since, if I understand correctly, the most number of speakers of Arabic, in their daily lives, use the Egyptian dialect, I might learn that one later.

Are you a speaker of Arabic? A reader?
